Before embarking on her professional path, Dr. Zambrano-Alicea pursued an education at St. Johns University, from which she earned a bachelor’s degree in audiology in 2004. She subsequently obtained a master’s degree in audiology at Hofstra University in 2007. Dr. Zambrano-Alicea concluded her studies at the University of Florida in 2011, graduating with a Doctor of Audiology.
Dr. Zambrano-Alicea has attributed her success to her personal motivation and her dedication to helping others. Among the many highlights of her career, she is incredibly proud of completing her doctorate as well as the opportunity to build Miracle Ear into an esteemed practice over nearly 20 years. Dr. Zambrano-Alicea is also grateful to meet people from many different walks of life, as she gets to learn about their daily lives and overcome hearing damage.
Dr. Zambrano-Alicea was drawn to her profession after witnessing how speech therapy had helped her cousin, who has special needs, communicate with their family. Soon thereafter, she discovered a passion for audiology during her collegiate studies, which enabled her to stand out in her class. In the coming years, Dr. Zambrano-Alicea hopes to continue finding success in her present practice while providing the next generation of audiologists with opportunities and mentorship in her field.
