Ming Tao Jiang, President and Chief Executive Officer at Marathon Ginseng International Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in herbal medicine.
Originally hailing from China, Dr. Jiang obtained a Medical Doctor from Shandong Medical University in 1985 and subsequently earned a Master of Science in pediatric cardiology from Shandong Medical College in 1988. He continued his education with a PhD in physiology from Western University. He provided superior service as a research scientist with Toronto General Hospital from 1993 to 1996 and as an assistant scientist with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health rom 1997 to 2000. As an assistant professor with the Medical College of Wisconsin from 2000 to 2007, Dr. Jiang imparted his knowledge on how the heart works under stress through observations of the molecular, biochemical and biophysical properties in human and animal models. Dr. Jiang was awarded a National Research Fellow Award by the National Research Council Canada each year from 1990 to 1993.
In 2010, Dr. Jiang founded Marathon Ginseng International Inc., a premier firm specializing in the production, distribution and research of the world-renowned Wisconsin ginseng, the root of a plant used in traditional medicine for centuries and is consumed as a dietary supplement, in dried form, or in soups and teas. His has served on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Chinese Chamber of Commerce, as an executive board member with NAA PAC, on the board of directors of the Hmong American Center in Wausau, Wisconsin and the board of directors of United Chinese Americans. Dr. Jiang attributes his success to hard work, honesty, and compassion. As a career highlight, he cites receiving the Top Ten Community Achievement Award by the Chinese News Digest Chicago for his 20 years of outstanding service in the community in 2018.
