Following obtaining a Bachelor of Science in psychology in 2005 from The Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Arumugarajah followed with a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences in 2007 and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011 and served a residency in internal medicine from 2011 to 2014 with Chestnut Hill Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in nephrology with Allegheny Health Network based in Pittsburgh from 2015 to 2017. He is licensed to practice in Indiana and Pennsylvania; Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Optometric Association (AOA) Board of Internal Medicine; Board Certified in Nephrology, American Optometric Association (AOA) Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Arumugarajah provided superior care as a resident physician with PCOM Internal Medicine in Philadelphia from 2011 to 2014 and a hospitalist with Jeanes Hospital in 2015. Since 2018, he has prospered as a physician with the Nephrology Associates of Northern Illinois and Indiana. As a nephrologist, Dr. Arumugarajah diagnoses, treats and manages acute and chronic kidney problems and diseases.
Completing his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine was Dr. Arumugarajah’s most notable accomplishment. He is also most proud of completing his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in nephrology. Additionally, his partnership with his current practice at the Nephrology Associates of Northern Illinois and Indiana is also a career highlight. Being successful and stable professionally as well as having a work-life balance in order to spend time with his family is something that he hopes to achieve in the future.
