Ok Cho, Pharmacist and Supervisor at UCHealth, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pharmacy administration.
After initially obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in molecular cellular developmental biology with a minor in biochemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2004, Dr. Cho continued her education with a Doctor of Pharmacy from the Skaggs School of Pharmacy at the University of Colorado at Denver in 2013.
Dr. Cho has provided superior service interning and then serving as a pharmacist at Walgreens from 2009 to the present and as a clinical pharmacist and supervisor with Memorial Hospital, University of Colorado Health since 2013. As a clinical pharmacist, Dr. Cho works directly with physicians, other health professionals, and patients to ensure that the medications prescribed for patients contribute to the best possible health outcomes. In addition, she educates discharged patients about their treatments, serves as middleman between hospital and patient after discharge, performs in an administrative capacity as supervisor, helps fill prescriptions and coordinates therapies. To remain aware of changes and advancements in the pharmaceutical field, Dr. Cho maintains affiliation with the Colorado Pharmacists Society, American Pharmacists Association and American College of Clinical Pharmacists.
Dr. Cho attributes her success to her family, who immigrated from South Korea, and her desire to help the community through her profession. She is most proud of growing a pharmacy from the ground up, knowing the business side of the industry and being able to help the community through it. In the coming years, she hopes to expand her role as a mentor and professor.
