He then served a residency in family medicine from 2008 to 2011 with Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. He later earned an honorary doctorate in 2018 from Abia State.

Dr. Oji was inspired by one of his friends to go into medicine, the late Dr. David Rabono. He was his mentor and somebody who really inspired him.
