Joel Stoeckeler, Family Practice Physician at Baldwin Area Medical Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in family medicine.
After initially obtaining a Bachelor of Science in psychology and biochemistry in 1976 and later a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, Dr. Stoeckeler continued his education with a medical doctorate from the same university in 1985. He thereupon served a residency in family medicine with the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Fairview. Dr. Stoeckeler is certified in family medicine and holds medical licenses in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Since 1986, Dr. Stoeckeler has provided superior care in private practice as a family physician. In addition, he is affiliated with multiple hospitals near Stanley, Wisconsin, including Baldwin Area Medical Center and Ascension Our Lady of Victory Hospital managing an emergency room. Dr. Stoeckeler has served as a surgeon assistant for 15 years and has been involved in United Service Organization (USO) show productions for the United States Department of Defense.
Dr. Stoeckeler is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Board of Family Medicine. His scholarly publications include “Familial Pyrimidinemia and Pyrimidinuria Associated with Severe Fluorouracil Toxicity” and “Conjugated Versus ‘Free’ Acidic Metabolites of Catecholamines in Random Urine Samples: Significance for the Diagnosis of Neuroblastoma,” both for the New England Journal of Medicine in 1985.
Dr. Stoeckeler considers his most notable achievements was his published articles in New England Journal of Medicine in and his USO show productions which were community services. His goal in the coming years is to practicing medicine.
