Growing up in a family of physicians, Dr. Pinner always knew what career he would pursue. Since 1975, he has excelled as an MD at Pinner Clinic, PA, which was started by his grandfather over 100 years ago. A member of the American Academy of Family Practice, he began his journey to success at The Citadel and Bowman Gray School of Medicine, where he earned an MD. After completing his required residency at the Greenvale Hospital System, Dr. Pinner was board certified in family medicine, which finally allowed him to step into the role that had awaited him for his entire life. Reflecting on his success, he credits the relationships that he has built with his patients. Many of the individuals treated by Dr. Pinner have been coming to his practice for generations, which provides a sense of comfort not often found among doctors and patients.
In 1999, Dr. Pinner was named Doctor of the Year. Moreover, he has been listed multiple times among the Best Physicians. However, outside of medicine, he is passionate about his work as a forester. For many years, he has successfully grown timber. Dr. Pinner considers this as more than just a hobby, as it has become somewhat of a business over the years. He truly enjoys working on his farm. Looking toward the future, Dr. Pinner is excited to see his son take on a role in the family practice, though he has no intention of retiring as long as his mind remains sharp and he is physically able to work.
