Earning a Doctor of Medicine from Seoul National University in 1962, Dr. Seung completed an internship at the Hospital St. Raphael in New Haven, CT, from 1963 to 1964, a residency in general surgery and otolaryngology at St. Louis University Group of Hospitals between 1964 and 1968, and a fellowship in otolaryngology at Mount Sinai Hospital from 1968 to 1969. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Seung has published myriad articles to esteemed scientific journals throughout his career. A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he has maintained membership with the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, the Southern Medical Association, and the West Virginia Medical Association, among others. He considers teaching to be the highlight of his career.
