Jared Steven Videll, LTC, DO, FACA, Cardiologist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Military for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Medicine.
After serving to the rank of lieutenant, master class, with the U.S. Army Reserve for 13 years and as a deputy commander in the Combat Support Hospital in Kuwait, Dr. Videll went on to fulfill a grand total of 34 years as a cardiologist and clinical physician. His most recent post was as chairman of clinical medicine and medical director of the Girard Medical Center from 1997 to 2010. He is the recipient of an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, and was selected for the pages of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the East, and Who’s Who in the World.
Born in Philadelphia to Harry and Rose Videll in 1947, Dr. Videll studied with the University of Miami to earn an EdB in 1969, followed by a DO from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was named chief resident during his stay with the Atlantic City Medical Center, now AtlantiCare. In 1979, Dr. Videll joined the Einstein Healthcare Network as a fellow in cardiovascular diseases, followed by a fellowship in nuclear cardiology with the Deborah Heart and Lung Center. He was appointed director of employee health services at the center, and continued to work in the Pennsylvania area for many years. Notably, he became the co-chairman and director of the Cardiac Stress Laboratory at Memorial Hospital, now the Guthrie Clinic, during the late ‘80s. He joined Girard Medical in 1997, and served until 2010.
Dr. Videll was a respected state peer reviewer for KEPRO, and a local chapter medical director for the American Cancer Society from 1989 to 1990. He is a fellow of the American Society of Angiology, and has supported the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American College of Chest Physicians, among numerous medical societies domestic and international. Dr. Videll married the late Cyta Trocki in 1969, and married Sherry Lyn Horowitz in 2012. He is the proud father of Haviv Elana, Mikhael Alon, and Samara Pilar. In his free time, Dr. Videll enjoys travel and fishing.
