Eric C. Rubinfeld, president at Westchester Eyes, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in optometry.

With 36 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Rubinfeld has excelled as owner and president of Westchester Eyes since 2018. He treats patients with eyelid, eyelash, and ocular surface diseases and conducts research and development to identify and develop optimal homeopathic treatments, pharmaceuticals, supplements, technology, and other products for patients. Furthermore, he supervises and provides training for four optometrists and technicians within his practice and mentors students at the State University of New York College of Optometry.

Dr. Rubinfeld worked at Cohen’s Fashion Optical as an optometrist from 1991 to 2001, and later as medical director and chief strategy officer from 2012 to 2014 and chief strategy officer from 2017 to 2018. He served as president of Precisions Optical Products from 1998 to 2003. He established himself as owner of Wal-Mart Optical in Shenzhen, China, from 2004 to 2005.

Dr. Rubinfeld garnered a stellar reputation as president of Boss Optical Lens Company from 2004 to 2018. At Cadillac Lenses/Boss Optical of Shenzhen, China, Tainan City, Taiwan, and Miami, Florida, he found success as chief executive officer from 2008 to 2018. He was active as president of Bristol Medical from 2012 to 2019 and at White Plains Eye Care since 2019.

Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Rubinfeld pursued an education at Adelphi University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1983. He continued his academic efforts at the State University of New York College of Optometry, obtaining a Doctor of Optometry in 1987. He concluded his studies at the University of Hong Kong, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in 2011.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Dr. Rubinfeld has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He has obtained a minimum of four patents resulting from his extensive research and development efforts, including a dry eye device, an ophthalmic lens designed to address issues related to eye coordination imbalance, and a platform that facilitates remote visual acuity and color vision testing.

Dr. Rubinfeld finds immense joy in the lasting connections he forms with his patients. Despite the size of his facility and the bustling nature of his practice, both he and his staff make concerted efforts to personally know every individual walking through the door. He envisions creating a generational legacy with his practice, starting with his younger daughter, who aspires to pursue a career in optometry. Currently, he is overseeing the construction of a state-of-the-art facility spanning 6,500 square feet in a new White Plains location which will house Westchester County’s first eyewear manufacturing establishment, specializing in the production of custom 3D-printed eyewear and tailor-made acetate eyewear.
