Dr. Austin authored “Neurological and Spinal Manifestations of the Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes” in 2017 and co-authored “The Value of Cardiac Biomarkers in Predicting Outcome in Patients with ARDS” in 2009.

For his professional excellence, Dr. Austin received a Caregiver of the Month Award from the CECA Foundation in 2018. He was named to America’s Top Physicians in 2013 and America’s Top Physicians in internal medicine in 2012 by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. Healthgrades listed Dr. Austin on the Healthgrades Honor Roll. In preparation for his career, he earned a Doctor of Medicine from the Iuliu Haieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 1995. In 2004, he graduated from Universitatea de Vest “Vasile Goldi” din Arad with a Master of Public Health in health administration. Dr. Austin concluded his residency in internal medicine at Providence Hospital in 2009. Alongside his formal degrees, he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
