As part of her vocational journey, Dr. Atkin cultivated her own formal education, ultimately achieving an MD at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont in 1993. In addition to her academic credentials, she completed her residency in psychiatry at the university’s medical center in 1996, and she held her New York State Medical License between 1998 and 2021. Attributing much of her success to the love and support of her family, Dr. Atkin is particularly proud of her work with children and young students.
