She previously served as an OBGYN attending physician with Day Kimble Medical Group in Putnam, Connecticut from 2016 to 2018, a resident physician in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center from 2012 to 2016, a pre-doctoral fellow in the department of osteopathic principles and practices at Nova Southeastern University from 2009 to 2012, a clinical research coordinator at the Cancer Center of Santa Barbara from 2006 to 2007 and a medical assistant in the department of urology at Sansum – Santa Barbara Medical Foundation Clinic from 2004 to 2006. Between 2003 and 2005, she was active as a lifeguard, aquacamp counselor and swim instructor for the aquatics division for the City of Santa Barbara. Dr. LaCorte began her medical career as a clinical laboratory assistant with Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital from 2003 to 2004.

Prior to embarking upon her professional path, Dr. LaCorte pursued an education at Saddleback College, from which she earned an Associate of Arts in general studies in 2000 while garnering her placement on the Dean’s List. She continued her studies with a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry, with Dean’s Honors, at the University of California Santa Barbara in 2003. Dr. LaCorte concluded her academic efforts at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012, graduating with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master of Public Health.

As a testament to her exceptional educational accomplishments, Dr. LaCorte has been presented with the Marcelino Oliva, Jr., DO Osteopathic Student Scholarship Award from the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association in 2012, a Junior Fellow Presentation Award from the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in 2011, a Chancellor’s Faculty Research and Development Grant from Nova Southeastern University in 2011, and Student Life Achievement Awards from Nova Southeastern University in 2011. Furthermore, she has been recognized as the 2011 Student of the Year in Osteopathic Medicine and the 2010 Student D.O. of the Year by Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Attributing her success to her thirst for knowledge, her trusting personality and her ability to provide the best answers to the problems of others, she acknowledges herself as a proud feminist who advocates for providing access and knowledge to families regarding consumption, preconception planning, family planning, adolescence, menstrual cycle, and menopause. Looking toward the future, Ms. LaCorte hopes to expand her community’s social support system while connecting with others and incorporating preventive health and sustainable farming into her medical practice.
