Adjacent to her primary duties, Dr. Wooden also serves as the owner of Redeeming Father. She previously worked with Mental Health Systems as a post-doctoral fellow from 2012 to 2013 and as a program director for the organization’s family recovery center from 2005 to 2010. As part of her dedication to her profession, Dr. Wooden also remains affiliated with Psychology Today.
In light of her accomplishments in the field, Dr. Wooden was previously honored as having the Best Residential Program in San Diego County in 2007. She was inspired to pursue a career as a psychologist after immigrating to the United States from her homeland in Kuwait, having discovered her interests in cultural differences and the manner in which humans interact with each other. In accounting for all of her achievements, however, she is most notably proud to have been able to raise her two children. Looking to the future, Dr. Wooden hopes to obtain her license as a life coach, in addition to establishing a curriculum on the concept of “failure to launch” and teaching it at local schools.
