Dr. Patel began his career as a cardiology fellow with New York Methodist Hospital between 2014 and 2017.

Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Patel pursued an education at the  University of Illinois Chicago, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2007. He subsequently concluded his studies at St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine, graduating in 2011 with a Doctor of Medicine. Following these accomplishments, Dr. Patel completed a residency in internal medicine at SIU Medicine in 2012, a residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago in 2014, a fellowship in cardiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in 2017 and a fellowship in internal medicine at the  University of Illinois at Chicago in 2018. 

Dr. Patel attributes his success to being a first-generation American from immigrant parents, as he was instilled with values, strong faith and financial responsibility through their example. A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, he is incredibly proud to have helped a 36-year-old patient survive a heart attack with a rare cause in 2022. Looking toward the future, Dr. Patel hopes to continue growing his practice, benefit his community and create outreach programs for his patients.
