With more than 50 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Robertson has excelled as a self-employed psychiatrist who was recently recruited as a telepsychiatrist with Talkiatry in June 2022. Licensed to practice psychiatry in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Arizona and New York, he previously earned a bachelor’s degree from Hope College in 1964, a master’s degree in experimental psychology from Western Michigan University in 1966, a master’s degree in physiology and biochemistry from Western Michigan University in 1967 and a Doctor of Medicine from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1971. As a testament to his impressive undertakings, he notably received a scholarship from Hope College. Mr. Robertson is additionally affiliated with the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association.
Mr. Robertson has attributed his success to the encouragement and guidance of his parents, who instilled within him a sense of resilience and determination. Inspired to become a psychiatrist during his formative years, he has been particularly drawn to biological psychiatry. Among his many career highlights, he is incredibly proud of helping his patients and personally watching their progression toward stability. Looking toward the future, Mr. Robertson hopes to continue practicing psychiatry while traveling and learning more about alternative forms of therapy in his spare time.
