Having recently begun her career as a dentist, Dr. Mukanga has cultivated over five years of experience in the field of dentistry. Having grown up with a deep understanding of the importance of dental hygiene, dentistry is a mission for Dr. Mukanga. In 2016, she founded Healing Wings Dental, where she continues to operate as a general dentist. In addition, she is the founder of Healing Wings Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Dallas, Texas. To wit, as part of her dedication in the field, Dr. Mukanga is affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Prior to beginning her vocational journey, Dr. Mukanga pursued a formal education at the Tulane University of Louisiana, where she received a Bachelor of Science in cell and molecular biology. She subsequently achieved a Doctor of Dental Surgery at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2011. Furthermore, she also completed a general practice dental residency at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in 2012. In addition to her practiced expertise, Dr. Mukanga is well recognized for her creative output, having authored and participated in the publication of numerous dental articles. In light of her accomplished career, she is most notably proud to have begun her own practice. Looking to the future, Dr. Mukanga hopes to continue expanding her business and interests by traveling and participating in dental mission trips.
