Dr. Heather E. Taylor, former pharmacy technician at UAB Health System, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pharmaceutical medicine.
Having accrued almost two decades of experience in the field of medicine, Dr. Taylor excelled as a pharmacy technician at UAB Health System between 2019 and 2021. She left this position to focus on the completion of her studies at Samford University, where she recently earned a Doctor of Pharmacy and a Master of Science in health informatics and analytics in 2022. Since 2018, she has also operated as an extern with the Alabama Board of Pharmacy. Prior to her most recent appointments, Dr. Taylor previously served as a pharmacy extern with Crestline Pharmacy Inc. between 2018 and 2019 and as a teacher at Chelsea High School from 2009 to 2018. She initially began her career as a teacher, working at Childersburg High School from 2005 to 2008.
Prior to beginning her vocational journey, Dr. Taylor began her academic career in the early 2000s, earning a Bachelor of Science in chemistry at Troy University in 2003. She would subsequently continue her studies at Troy University and achieve a Master of Education in 2004 and a Master of Science in 2008. As part of her commitment in the field, Dr. Taylor remains affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research Inc., Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International, and Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Inc. Having been previously recognized for her distinguished performance in the field by her colleagues and peers, Dr. Taylor is notably proud of her educational attainments and her involvement with the Rho Chi Society. In the near future, she hopes to secure a clinical pharmacy position in a hospital, formally publish her research, and participate in medication safety programs.
