Dr. Jacobson graduated from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine with a doctorate in dental medicine in 1995 and subsequently completed advanced graduate studies in endodontics and in general dentistry. She has a certificate of advanced graduate study, and is a member of several dental associations, including the Iranian American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association and Massachusetts Dental Society.
Dr. Jacobson left her home country to come to the United States after beginning her education in medicine in Iran. With three young children to support, she decided to switch to dental medicine to continue her education. She attributes her career success to the support of her father, a physician who served as her inspiration, and her three children. She takes pride in keeping her patients comfortable and at ease, using humor to help them relax. She connects with her patients to help them through the difficult process of visiting the dentist.
Specializing in endodontics, Dr. Jacobson screens and treats patients on a regular basis as a Doctor of Dental Medicine at Newton Endodontics, Inc. She additionally provides pro bono dental work to members of the community who cannot afford quality dental care on their own. In the coming years, Dr. Jacobson hopes to finish and publish the autobiography that she is writing.
