Christine Wang Kornu, MD, FAAP, Physician at Coastal Kids, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pediatrics.
In her professional endeavors, Dr. Kornu desired to combine her love for children with her interest in biology and family interaction, leading her to an honorable career as a pediatrician. Upon earning a Bachelor of Science in biology, with honors, from Stanford University in 1996, she went on to attain a Doctor of Medicine from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2000. From there, she served a residency in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles through 2003, during which she attended medical missions in Nepal, Thailand, Laos and Mexico.
Dr. Kornu began working as a medical staff member at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, California before serving as a pediatrician at Newport Children’s Medical Group from 2008 to 2013. Today, she excels as a pediatrician at Coastal Kids in Irvine, California, a role she commenced in 2013. To remain abreast of her industry, she is a fellow and member of the Orange County chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also joining the board at the National Charity League Chapter. Dr. Kornu attributes her success to her encouraging and supportive parents and husband. Likewise, she enjoys working with a group of pediatricians that have the same passion. In five years’ time, she aims to continue her practice and build even stronger relationships with her patients as they grow and mature.
