Michael Correa, Physician, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in internal medicine.
After initially obtaining a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey, Dr. Correa continued his education with a Medical Doctor in 1998 from Rutgers University (formerly UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School) and subsequently completed a residency in internal medicine in 2002 with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He is licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey and New York.
Dr. Correa has provided superior care in private practice as an internist in New York and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Mount Sinai Morningside, Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Hospitals. In this capacity, he specializes in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease in adult patients and coordinates with a cardiologist and vascular surgeon who work with him each week. Dr. Correa’s professional memberships include the Medical Society State of New York, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians and the American Board of Internal Medicine. For his excellence, he has been honored through the Physician Practice Connections Recognition Program and Physician Practice Connections Recognition Program of the National Committee for Quality Assurance from 2011 through 2013.
Dr. Correa attributes his success to his compassion, understanding, and empathy toward the people he serves. He maintains that his most notable achievement has been providing medical care and supportive cross-cultural care in Harlem, which is a underserved area. In the coming years, he is hoping for the continued success and growth of his practice.
