Originally hailing from Nigeria, Dr. Alade obtained a Medical Doctor in 2004 from the Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed a residency in 2007 in internal medicine with Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. She then served a rheumatology fellowship from 2007 to 2009 with Temple University in Philadelphia.
As a rheumatologist in private practice for the past 15 years, Dr. Alade is licensed to treat arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions and systemic autoimmune diseases. Her top areas of expertise are rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren syndrome, pachydermoperiostosis and psoriatic Arthritis. She holds certifications as a Rheumatologist and in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and her professional memberships include the American College of Rheumatology, American Medical Association and International Society for Clinical Densitometry.
Dr. Alade attributes her success to her level of preparedness in everything that she does whether it be in her personal life or dealing with patients. She maintains that hearing patients tell her that she has helped them get back to the level of functionality where they used to be is her career highlight, and that being able to help people is what gives her the drive to succeed. Dr. Alade’s goal for the coming years is to continue her practice and increase her level of competency. In addition, she would like to do more community works by getting involved with local organizations.
