Since 2012, Dr. Gilete-Sosa has found much success as medical director at the Brevard County Jail Complex with AMOR Correctional Health Services, a privately held prison healthcare contractor provides healthcare and pharmacy services to 139 state prisons, municipal jails, and other facilities serving over 115,000 inmates, offering dental, mental health, optometry services, and substance abuse treatment. Previously, he served as the medical director and primary care physician with Kenaday Medical Clinic from 2011 to 2012, a primary care physician, medical director and laboratory director for the Bradford County Department of Health from 2007 to 2011 and a staff physician for the Florida Department of Corrections from 2005 to 2007. He began his career serving the Emergency Department as a general physician at San Pablo Hospital-Bayamon from 2003 to 2005. At the same time, he worked as a palliative care physician at Saint Lucas Hospice in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico from 2002 to 2005.
Dr. Gilete-Sosa was the recipient of an Outstanding Performance Recognition Award as Health Promoter at Underprivileged Communities in 1997 from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. His professional memberships include Correctional Healthcare Practitioners and the American Academy of HIV Specialists.
Dr. Gilete-Sosa attributes his success to hard work, dedication, and the desire to care for the underprivileged community, citing his work with such communities as his career highlight. In coming years, he intends to maintain and improve his consistent level of care and will continue serving the underprivileged, whether in the same company or somewhere else.
