Edward Maduh, Toxicologist at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pharmacology and toxicology.

After initially obtaining a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy in 1983 from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Dr. Maduh followed with a Master of Science in pharmacology in 1985 from Idaho State University in Pocatello. He continued his education with a Doctor of Philosophy in toxicology/neuroscience and pharmacology in 1989 from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Jurisprudence from William Howard Taft University Law School in Denver.

Dr. Maduh served as a pharmacy intern in 1983 with  Wyoming Medical Center, formerly the Memorial Hospital of Natrona County, as a graduate teaching assistant with Idaho State University from 1983 to 1985 and with Purdue University from 1986 to 1989, as a David Ross fellow with Purdue in 1990 and a visiting fellow with the National Institutes Of Health in Bethesda, Maryland from 1990 to 1992. 

Following superior service as a resident research associate with the National Research Council/National Academy of Sciences in Washington and United States Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland from 1992 to 1994, Dr. Maduh excelled as a pharmacist with American Pharmaceutical Association from 1994 to 1995, Rite Aid Corporation of Maryland from 1992 to 2007, Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic from 1999 to 2007 and CVS from 2007 to 2009.

As a toxicologist Dr. Maduh has flourished with Allsig Health and Toxicology Inc. in Washington from 1995 to 2002 and  currently with the united States Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. In addition, he has imparted his knowledge as a professor with Idaho State University from 1987 to the present and with Prince George’s Community College in Maryland from 2011 to the present. His numerous awards in pharmacy and pharmacology include an Excellence in Research Award from Purdue University, a Student Travel Award from the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) and a Scholastic Improvement Award from Roche Laboratories.

Dr. Maduh considers his most notable achievement to be obtaining his pharmacy degree from the University of Wyoming. In addition, presenting in New Orleans has also been a highlight of his career because through that, he met the person who ended up sponsoring his visit to the National Institutes of Health. While there, he was able to attend one of the meetings in which he had the opportunity to meet the wife of the president of the United States at that time, Barbara Bush. In the coming years, Dr. Maduh’s goal is to be able to publish books and write additional articles in his field, and also to invest in the careers of his children in whatever field they choose.
