Since 2019, Dr. Arndts has provided superior care as a general surgeon with Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Illinois, performing consultation and surgery on medical conditions involving the breast, endocrine system, gastrointestinal tract, colon, liver and pancreas. Previously, she had excelled as a critical care house physician from 2009 to 2015 with St. John Providence, now Ascension Michigan, and subsequently as a general surgeon from 2016 to 2018 with Mercy Health, the largest health system in Ohio and from 2018 to 2019 with Locum Tenens Staffing.
Dr. Arndts is board certified in General Surgery and licensed to practice in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. In 2020 she attended the Quadruple Aim Physician Leadership Retreat; was Stop the Bleed certified with courses in Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter Placement Course and Healogics, the nation’s leading provider of advanced wound care in 2018 and the Abdominal Wall Hernias Interior and Posterior Separation Course at Cleveland Clinic in 2007. She serves as a clinical instructor for medical students and physician assistants, a clinical adjunct faculty member with Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Stop The Bleed instructor.
Following obtaining a Bachelor of Science in sports medicine in 2000, magna cum laude with a minor in biology, from Marietta College, Dr. Arndts continued her education with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004 from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. She thereupon served a rotating internship with Ohio Health Doctors Hospital from 2004 to 2005 and a residency in general surgery with St. John Providence from 2005 to 2009.
