In the coming years, Dr. Klein intends to develop clinical research in family practice and clinical medicine in order to create a model where physicians work around research to support them so that they can continue to maintain independence. His goal is to make the model a means for the physicians to utilize research, along with its funding and the academic interest that it generates, as an agent of stability that would keep them free from being integrated into larger institutions and subservient to them. In conjunction with this is the plan to build laboratories that continue to support the research cycle. The holder of a pilot’s license, Dr. Klein also hopes to become a better aviator.
