Originally inclined toward a career as a biologist, he was inspired to concentrate on heart health by his troubles with rheumatic fever as a child, and as a heart specialist, he has made a substantial effort helping people reduce the risk of developing heart disease. What stands out the most in Dr. Joseph’s life has been his marriage to his wife, as well as the birth of his children and grandchildren. Several of his grandchildren are studying in excellent schools and heading toward various promising career paths in science.
