Dr. Betancourt-Ramirez obtained his medical doctorate from the Universidad de los Andes in Mérida, Venezuela. After immigrating to the United States in 2005, he served a 4-year surgical residency with Yale-New Haven Hospital Saint Raphael, a residency in critical care and a fellowship with Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, New York.
Growing up having a father who is a doctor and a mother who is a researcher inspired Dr. Betancourt-Ramirez’s interest in the medical field. He is also passionate about helping others, especially those who are in need. He considers his career highlight finding success as an immigrant and a physician in the United States. Through his perseverance, he managed to rise through the ranks, overcome the challenges and eventually became successful in the medical field. In the coming years, Dr. Betancourt-Ramirez hopes to continue his work as a physician and continue to provide care and health services to the people particularly the injured and critically ill in the community.
