She then served a geriatric fellowship with Montefiore Medical Center in 2016.
With Riverside Nursing Home, Montefiore Medical Center, Dr. Sulekha has provided superior care as a geriatrician, specializing in the unique health needs of the elderly, including chronic diseases, nutritional problems, skin ailments, cognitive loss, memory impairment, adverse effects of medications, immobility and balance issues. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians and American Geriatrics Society.
Dr. Sulekha attributes her success to a lot of hard work and her passion for her career. She also had a lot of great mentors who believed in her, supported her, and pushed her to the right path. Dr. Sulekha considers her most notable achievement being able to provide care for people with dementia and guiding families who do not know what to do with their elderly relatives, especially those who have dementia. In the coming years, she intends to push herself and expand her reach in the medical field.
