After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside, Dr. Madison continued his education with a medical doctorate, summa cum laude, from Southern California University of Health Sciences, Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1976. He later furthered his knowledge with an advanced course in the diagnosis and clinical management of cervical acceleration and deceleration trauma and whiplash related temporomandibular joint disorders with the Spine Research Institute of San Diego in 1995.
In 1975, Dr. Madison opened his current practice as a chiropractic orthopedist, providing examination and treatment of conditions affecting the joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilages, and their related nerve problems, employing different types of manipulation procedures including Cox flexion-distraction for lower back disc problems. His office focuses on orthopedic problems/injuries, disc problems, and worker’s compensation/Industrial cases, as well as providing general family chiropractic care.
Dr. Madison’s professional certifications include Independent Disability Evaluator from the California Chiropractic Association; a diplomate from the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists; a post-graduate certification in chiropractic orthopedics; and a diplomate from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. In addition, he has been honored with a Chairman’s and President’s Awards from the American Chiropractic Association, honored as a delegate of the year by the American Chiropractic Association, and he has garnered a Dr. John E. Flynn and Dr. Robert P. Lynch Memorial Award for outstanding achievement by a new delegate of less than five years.
Dr. Madison currently provides superior service an instructor in the Community Based Education program for students from the medical school at the University of California, Riverside. Attributing his success to his respectful and compassionate relationships with his patients, he is considering accepting a position as an instructor at the Southern California University of Health Sciences.
