As the chief of critical care services at Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus since 2021, Dr. Mora, a pulmonologist and intensivist certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, leads the critical care service line across the system and support the mission of excellence in healthcare.
After initially obtaining a Bachelor of Science in biology and biological sciences, general and chemical, from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio in 1996, Dr. Mora continued his education with a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2001. Soon thereafter, he completed an internship and residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center from 2001 to 2005 as well as a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care from 2005 to 2008. Dr. Mora holds certifications in critical care and pulmonary medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine in addition to a diploma in internal medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Mora excelled as medical director and chairman of internal medicine with St. Joseph College Station Medical Center from 2009 to 2010, the chairman of the Pulmonary and Critical Care Symposium, as well as intensivist and associate program director with the Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas from 2014 to 2017 and chief of staff and pulmonary program director with Select Specialty Hospitals and Select Medical from 2015 to 2018. He additionally provided superior care as the medical director with Baylor Scott and White Health from 2018 to 2021.
