Inspired to become a doctor by his father, a family practitioner, Dr. Eliason has dedicated his career to providing exceptional medical services to each of his patients. After completing his undergraduate education, he earned a Doctor of Medicine in pathology from the St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1994 prior to completing a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology in 1999. In his current role, Dr. Eliason analyzes biopsies for medical offices as a pathologist with Dearborn County Hospital and St. Elizabeth Healthcare. Moreover, he had found success as a staff pathologist of the United States Air Force, holding the position from 1999 to 2003.
Dr. Eliason has worked closely with local schools in his county during the COVID-19 pandemic to enforce proper safety standards and is proud to support Encircle, a LGBTQ+ youth and family resource center in Utah. To remain abreast with advancements in the field, he currently maintains professional affiliations with the College of American Pathologists, the United States and Canada Association of Pathologists and the Indiana State Medical Association. In recognition of his service to the United States Air Force, Dr. Eliason was presented with a Service in the Air Force Award for his work in introducing ThinPrep technology to the branch’s medical services.
