John F. Robb, MD, FAHA, FACC, FSCAI, FSVM, professor of medicine at Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education and medicine.

As an expert in interventional cardiology, Dr. Robb has maintained involvement over the span of his professional journey as a physician, cardiologist, educator and researcher. He initially obtained a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and biology from Wesleyan University in 1973 and a Doctor of Medicine, with highest honors, from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1979. Upon graduation, Dr. Robb undertook an internship in internal medicine with University of Minnesota Hospitals in 1980, where he later conducted a residency in 1982 and a fellowship in cardiology in 1985.

During this time, Dr. Robb began his career as an instructor in medicine and an associate instructor in gross human anatomy at the University Graduate School at Indiana University Bloomington. Moreover, he worked at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center as a staff cardiologist and attending physician. Following this period, Dr. Robb served as the director of the cardiac care unit, the interventional cardiology fellowship program, the cardiac catheterization laboratories and the angioplasty special care unit.

Among his career highlights, Dr. Robb is gratified to have assisted in the development of a program to treat patients with heart disease using quality improvement efforts. Over the course of his career, he has maintained his affiliation with a multitude of organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the Societies for Vascular Medicine and Biology and Cardiac Angiography and Intervention, the American Medical Informatics Association, the American Medical Association and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Dr. Robb is honored to have been recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America, one of the Best Doctors in America’s Northeast Region and one of the Best Doctors by Vermont Magazine.

To commemorate his various accomplishments, Dr. Robb is proud to have been presented with the National Research Service Award from the National Institutes of Health, the John D. Hickam Award and the Marcus Ravdin Award for Highest Academic Achievement from the Indiana University School of Medicine. Furthermore, he celebrates his status as a five-time nominee for the Department of Medicine Excellence in Teaching Award from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
