Chi-Ting Horng, MD, PhD, chief of the Medical Education Center Kaohsiung Armed Forces General Hospital, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medicine and education.

Born and raised in Taiwan, Dr. Horng is well regarded for his expertise in aviary medicine and aero-physiology, as well as his research pertaining to various contents and chemical substances in popular Chinese herbs. He initially obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in biology at Chung Shan Medical University. Thereafter, he earned an Executive Master of Business Administration from National San-Sat Sen University and a Master of Science in pharmacy at Tajen University. He completed his education at the National Defense Medical Center in Taipei, Taiwan, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Horng later garnered expertise through a residency with the Department of Ophthalmology at the Tri-Service General Hospital.

During this time, Dr. Horng began his career as a research fellow of retinal surgery within the Department of Ophthalmology at Tokyo Medical University. He subsequently excelled as an assistant professor within the Department of Pharmacy at Tajen University and a directory professor within the National Defense Medical Center from 2005 to 2006. Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Horng has found additional success as the deputy superintendent at the National Navy General Hospital, the deputy director of the Department of Medical Planning of the Ministry of National Defense-Medical Affairs Bureau, the chief of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Kaohsiung Armed Forced General Hospital, a flying surgeon within the Inspector General Office at the Air Force Headquarters and a staff member of Fooying University.

Though his professional journey has been suffused with highlights, Dr. Horng is well-renowned for developing new methods and models for specific ocular diseases. Additionally, he has applied his expertise in microbiology to formulate treatment of various tumors. For his achievements in the field, he is proud to have been recognized as one of the First 100 Professors in the World by the Cambridge International Business College. A celebrated Marquis listee, he is honored to have been presented with the prestigious Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Moreover, Dr. Horng was selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in the World in 2016.
