Thomas J. Luttenegger, MD, FACR, Retired Radiologist at Poudre Valley Hospital, University of Colorado Health, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in diagnostic radiology.

Upon earning a Bachelor of Science from Regis University, Dr. Luttenegger went on to attain a Master of Science in biochemistry from Purdue University. Subsequently, it became very clear that he wanted to do something different within the medical field, so he then enrolled at the University of Colorado School of Medicine to do neurology research with Dr. James H. Austin. In 1971, Dr. Luttenegger obtained a Doctor of Medicine from the aforementioned institution, officially spearheading his professional career dedicated to diagnostic radiology.

Notably, Dr. Luttenegger served in the U.S. Navy for nine years, taking on the role of the head of diagnostic radiology and training at the Naval Regional Medical Center in California for four years. For 34 years, he flourished as a diagnostic radiologist at UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. During his tenure, he contributed to building various clinics and was honored multiple times as being in one of the top radiology groups out of 6,000 in the country. Likewise, he is also the founder of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Fort Collins. Now retired, Dr. Luttenegger maintains involvement in his field through affiliation with the American College of Radiology, Colorado Radiology Association and Radiology Society of North America.
