David W. Boyle, MD, Professor of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in neonatology and medical care.

Inspired by his uncle, a physician-scientist and professor at a medical school that Dr. Boyle would go on to attend, he felt called to pediatrics for as long as he had been interested in medicine. After earning a Bachelor of Science in pre-professional studies from the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Boyle was awarded his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1983. From 1983 until 1986, he was a pediatric resident at the Yale-New Haven Hospital, followed by a three-year fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Boyle is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the National Board of Medical Examiners and has been a part of the American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program Steering Committee and the Neonatal Task Force for the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation for more than 15 years. He is the former Fellowship Director and Associate Chief for the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Indiana University and stepped down from his position as Medical Director of the Fetal Center at Riley Children’s Health in 2020 after four years of service. Since 2010, Dr. Boyle has been a professor of pediatrics at the Indiana University School of Medicine, and since 2016, he has additionally served as the co-medical director of Riley Maternity and Newborn Health Service Line. He has been voted one of the Top Doctors in Indianapolis each year since 2015 and continues to learn and refine his practice while looking forward to retiring and spending time outdoors with his large family.
