Previously, between 1992 and 2010, she served as an attending physician and the chief of the department of pediatrics and emergency medicine at the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. Notably, Dr. Grisanti has authored articles on asthma, bronchiolitis, abdominal trauma and cervical spine injuries. For her career accomplishments, Business First Newspaper granted her the Award in Excellence in Healthcare and named her as a Woman of Influence in 2018, 2019 and 2020. Dr. Grisanti attributes her success to hard work and a passion for pediatric health.

Dr. Grisanti earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Canisius College in 1982 and a Master in Natural Sciences from the University of Buffalo in 1983. She went on to obtain a Doctor of Medicine from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo in 1987. Dr. Grisanti subsequently completed a pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, along with a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children and St. Louis Children’s Hospital by 1992.

Dr. Grisanti considers setting up the pediatric urgent care center to be a highlight in her career, as she takes great pride in providing a service that was not previously available in the Buffalo area. However, she cites her five children as her greatest accomplishment. Looking toward the future, Dr. Grisanti plans to maintain her membership with the American Academy of Pediatrics and continue to care for her patients.
