After earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1985, Dr. Kumar attained a Doctor of Medicine from Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Rohtak, India. Continuing his medical requirements, he was a resident in internal medicine at the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, as well as a fellow in cardiology at the Baylor College of Medicine and a fellow in interventional cardiology at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine. To remain abreast of his industry, Dr. Kumar maintains affiliation with the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology and the Society of Vascular Medicine, of which he is also a fellow to the latter two. His advice to aspiring medical professionals is to be compassionate and knowledgeable.
