Deriving inspiration from his grandfather, who was a dentist, Dr. Anderson enjoyed watching his grandfather interact with his patients. Desiring to help others in the same vein, he attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, receiving a Bachelor of Science in 1991. In 1996, he earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University, followed by a rotating internship that he completed between 1996 and 1997. Subsequently, Dr. Anderson completed a residency in family medicine at Deaconess Hospital (now known as Forest Park Hospital) with St. Louis University in 2000.

Dr. Anderson’s first professional role subsequent to completing his medical training was as a family physician at Primary Care Network in Swansea, Illinois, from 2000 to 2001, followed by an appointment at Healthcare Physicians of Southern Illinois in Dupo, Illinois, from 2001 to 2004. Concurrently, he served as a physician and medical director of the New Athens Home for the Aged between 2003 and 2004 and an emergency room physician at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite City, Illinois, from 2000 to 2005. Between 2005 and 2019, Dr. Anderson excelled as a family physician for the Hollywood Avenue Family Medicine Clinic in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and since 2019, has been a physician at Harmony Park Family Medicine.

A diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice, Dr. Anderson is licensed to practice medicine in Arkansas and Illinois. He previously served as a member of the diabetic education committee with Family Medicine of St. Louis from 1999 to 2000. Civically involved as well, he is a supporter of World Vision, Save the Storks and Project Hope. He has also demonstrated versatility in his field through the authorship of various publications, such as his presentations of “Emergent Care of Pregnant Patient for First Responders” in 2017, “New Advances in Hypocholesteremia” in 2003, “Migraine Headache: Diagnosis and Treatment” in 2002 and “Sexually Transmitted Diseases: Prevention and Treatment” in 1998 and 1999.

Notably, Dr. Anderson has maintained affiliation with the Arkansas and American Medical Associations, the American Osteopathic Association and the American Academy of Family Practice. He has received myriad accolades for his prestige in the field, including the Patients’ Choice Award from Vitals Arkansas Family Physician in 2018. He was featured in Arkansas Yearly in 2014, having also been named Best Family Doctor in Hot Springs.
