Pamela S. Kolacz, MD, Physician at Fairview Health Systems, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in family medicine.
In her early collegiate years, Dr. Kolacz became involved in a pre-med group that subsequently had a large impact on her professional desires. Upon earning a Bachelor of Arts from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina, she went on to attain a Doctor of Medicine from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1991. While in medical school, Dr. Kolacz felt drawn to family medicine, as she enjoyed its continuity alongside families of all ages in order to help them achieve better health. From there, she completed a residency at the St. Joseph’s Medical Center by 1994 and became board-certified in family medicine.
Since 2007, Dr. Kolacz has excelled as a physician at Fairview Health System in Minnesota, in which she specializes in family medicine, women’s health and geriatrics consisting of diabetes and long-term management of chronic diseases. Earlier in her career, she worked for the Family of Health Center from 1999 to 2007 and for the Dickinson County Healthcare System from 1994 to 1999. A member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Kolacz notes her career highlight has been rocking through hard times with patients facing difficult diagnoses and guiding them to manage those ailments. She attributes her success to listening, a willingness to go the extra mile for patients and giving them the ability to make a decision on their care. In the coming years, she plans to continue offering the most exceptional care for her patients. When she is not working, Dr. Kolacz enjoys spending time with family, outdoor activities and cooking.
