Peter M. Di Grazia, DMD, Retired Dentist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in dentistry.
Flourishing in his 43-year career as a dentist in Reno, Nevada, Dr. Di Grazia commenced his well-deserved retirement in 2011. Alongside his primary role, he had also excelled as the president of the Nevada State Board of Health in 1983 and 1984, president of the American Association of Dental Examiners in Chicago in 1984 and chairman of the Joint Committee on National Dental Tests in 1985. He cites these feats as the highlights of his career. Notably, Dr. Di Grazia earned a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry from the University of Nevada in 1964 and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Oregon in 1966. From there, he served as a captain in the U.S. Army until 1968.
To remain abreast of his industry, Dr. Di Grazia maintains affiliation with the Academy of Dentistry International, International College Dentists, American College of Dentists, American Dental Association and Pierre Fauchard Academy, from which he was named Dentist of the Year. He is also a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Civically, he was involved with the Mountain Rose Lions Club and Reno Sunrise Exchange Club. Reflecting on his career, Dr. Di Grazia has found the most rewarding part of his profession to be meeting many interesting people and watching the advancements of dentistry over the years. He is most proud of the family he has built with his wife, Susan, and their four children, Michelle, Jill, John and Susan. To attest to his legacy, Dr. Di Grazia is also listed in the 21st and 27th editions of Who’s Who in the West. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, boating and golfing.
