Larry Darnell Wilson, MD, FAFFP, FIAIME, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in occupational medicine.
Building off a childhood interest in science and helping others, Dr. Wilson chose to pursue a career in medicine at a young age. In 1977, he earned a Bachelor of Science in pre-medicine from Langston University, where he graduated with honors. This allowed him to enroll at the Oklahoma College of Medicine, proceeding to acquire a Doctor of Medicine in 1985. In the years that followed, he was certified by the American Board of Family Practice and the American Board of Forensic Examiners.
Dr. Wilson commenced his career in 1988 after completing a residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He served as a staff physician at King’s Daughters Clinic in Killeen, Texas, going on to work at the Austin Regional Clinic and Seton Medical Center in the subsequent years. From 1994 until 1995, Dr. Wilson worked as the owner and director of Impairment Assessment Centers. He then relocated to become the medical director and a staff physician for Concentra Medical Centers, where he stayed until 2009. Prior to retiring in 2017, Dr. Wilson excelled as the medical director of Cedar Park Regional Medical Center’s occupational medical division. As a distinguished member of his industry, he has shared his insights by authoring numerous book chapters and speaking at various presentations over the years. As a testament to his success, Dr. Wilson earned the Center Excellence Award from Occupational Health Centers, which is just one of the many honors he has received. He is additionally featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare.
