Jung Eun Kim, Doctor at the Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors dedication, achievements, and leadership in medical education.
A native of Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Kim earned a diploma from Kyung Hee University in 2007. Seven years later, he received a Master’s degree from the aforementioned institution before concluding her academic efforts with a Doctor of Philosophy in 2016. A certified anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist, she began her career as a clinical fellow for the Division of Pain Medicine at the Korea University Medical Center from 2014 to 2017. After briefly serving as the e-poster chairman for the European Society of Anesthesiology, she progressed to a clinical assistant with the Korea University Medical Center. Today, Dr. Kim serves as an assistant professor for the Division of Pain Medicine at Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital – a position she has held since 2019.
Dr. Kim entered her profession because she wanted to help patients suffering from pain. With this sentiment, she became an anesthesiologist and a pain medicine specialist in order to achieve this goal. Reflecting on her career trajectory, she considers a highlight of her career was being an e-poster chairman of the European Society of Anesthesiology. She cites it as a great experience for her in which she learned a lot. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Kim enjoys listening to music and watching movies in her spare time. In the next five years, she plans to study treatment that can control cancer pain at the university-level. Likewise, she would like to continue helping patients who are suffering from pain.
