Drawing upon more than 40 years of experience in health care, Dr. Jimenez established Carlos C. Jimenez, MD, P.C., in Glen Dale, West Virginia, in 1973, where he specializes in internal medicine, endocrinology, and metabolism. Acclaimed statewide for his expertise in internal medicine maladies, he previously served as an educator at Saint Lewis University in 1971. During his tenure at his private practice, he also excelled as a director and secretary of Mainstreet Bank from 2001 to 2019. Likewise, he lent his wealth of knowledge to the Pittsburgh Medical College and West Virginia University.
To prepare for his career, Dr. Jimenez pursued a formal education at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, whereupon he received a Doctor of Medicine in 1964. Prior to attaining his medical degree, he pursued pre-medical studies at Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Manila.
In an effort to remain abreast of developments within the medical industry, Dr. Jimenez maintains affiliation with the American Medical Association, the Board of Quality Assurance, the West Virginia State Medical Society, and the American Endocrine Society. He has also contributed widely to his community, maintaining active status with the Ohio Valley Community Foundation, the Mountain State Foundation, and Jesuit University, where he is a director. Furthermore, he is a past president of the West Virginia State Medical Association from 2009 to 2020, a former board member of the West Virginia Board of Medicine from 2008 to 2018, and a former president of his local Rotary Club.
To attest to his legacy, Dr. Jimenez was honored with the American Asian Award in Chicago, Illinois. He attributes his immense success to his diligent work ethic and the support and encouragement from his wife. Looking toward the future, he intends to write and publish a book about West Virginia residents who have achieved success.
