Dr. Kasra Djalayer, Physician at Families First of Great Seacoast, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in internal medicine.
Encouraged by his father, Dr. Djalayer desired to become a doctor in order to help people and treat them appropriately. Notably, he obtained a Doctor of Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain in 1989 and went on to complete a fellowship in rheumatology and immunology from the University of South Wales. Subsequently, Dr. Djalayer completed a residency at the Yale-Griffin Prevention Research Center in 2000 and a fellowship in rheumatology and clinical immunology from the University of Vermont in 2001. Additionally, he holds various degrees from McGill University, Stanford University and Harvard University, including an Executive Master of Business Administration in international health care leadership.
Since 2018, Dr. Djalayer has served as a physician at Families First of Great Seacoast, where he specializes in internal medicine, geriatric medicine, obesity medicine, rheumatology and joint disease, inflammatory arthritis, and immunology. Previously, he served as a primary care physician at the Gifford Medical Center in 2016 and 2017 and as medical director of the Rowan Court Health and Rehab Center from 2015 to 2017. In addition, between 2001 and 2017, he had been a hospitalist at Concord Health CTR, New London Hospital, Brattleboro Hospital, Franklin General Hospital, and Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. A specialist in internal medicine at Weeks Medical CTR and Lakeshore General Hospital between 2001 and 2005, Dr. Djalayer was also director of the diabetic program at a private practice in Spain in the 1990s. In his teaching work, he was an invited instructor at the Jewish General Hospital from 2004 to 2006.
Notably, Dr. Djalayer was the recipient of the Most Compassionate Doctor Award and Patient Choice Doctor Award each year from 2011 to 2015. Most honorably, he received a Letter of Appreciation from President Barack Obama in 2012 and has been named to the Top Five Percent of Physicians in the United States. Additionally, he has accepted a Gold Medal from the Governor of Madrid, Spain, a Ramon Cajal Award for Academic Achievements, and a Hush Puppy Award for Most Knowledgeable Resident of the Year. Dr. Djalayer attributes his success to persuasiveness, dedication, hard work, and being goal-oriented.
