Rene Rothstein Rubin, Oncologist and Hemotologist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medicine.
Following her high school graduation, Dr. Rubin initially intended to pursue a career as a nurse. However, during her time at Brooklyn College, she quickly discovered that she was more suited for a career as a physician. She earned an MD from New York University in 1982 and shortly thereafter was certified to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania. In 1989, after completing her required internship and residency, Dr. Rubin began her career at Pennsylvania Hospital-Presbyterian Medical Center. She remained there until 1997, going on to bring her skills to the Hahnemann University Hospital and Rittenhouse Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Rubin remains at the latter practice today, continuing to help each patient she sees.
An active member of her industry, Dr. Rubin maintains affiliation with the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Pennsylvania National Oncology Network. Reflecting on her success, she credits a love for what she does, as well as having a wonderful support system. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Rubin loves to spend time with her family. Two of her children became physicians, and her other child is a nurse, which only further solidified her love for working in healthcare. As a testament to her success, Dr. Rubin is featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine, and Healthcare, and Who’s Who in the East.
