After experiencing her first dental appointment at the age of four, Dr. Dayries-Ling was infatuated with the profession and looked forward to every scheduled visit. In 1992, she earned an Associate of Science in chemistry from Emory University and went on to obtain a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 1996. Notably, since 2017, Dr. Dayries-Ling has served as the founder and owner of Whole Healing Dental since 2017 and the owner and practicing dentist with Amy M. Dayries DMD, Callicutt and Dayries, LLC since 1996. She is accredited and SMART certified by the International Association of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.
In her work, Dr. Dayries-Ling respects a patient’s desire to practice alternative and homeopathic solutions to their oral and systemic health challenges. With this sentiment, she is well versed in traditional herbals, ayurvedics, galenic, and traditional Chinese medicine techniques. From her passion for nutritional counseling and the herbal arts, Dr. Dayries-Ling is renowned for her ability to determine a patient’s whole body health through a dental lens. As a mother of five, she holds a specific interest in pediatric dentistry and is a prominent advocate for children’s health.
Dr. Dayries-Ling finds the most rewarding aspect of her profession to be her ability to greatly aid her patients’ oral health and to help them achieve their aesthetic goals. Notably, in 2018, she completed a fellowship with the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, graduating with honors. She was the first dentist to earn the renowned distinction. In addition to her career achievements, Dr. Dayries-Ling is a member of the International Association of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and the Hinman Dental Society Atlanta, of which she is also a distinguished speaker. She has also spoken for the American Dental Association on holistic and integrative techniques in dentistry, which she regards as one of her greatest achievements. Dr. Dayries-Ling attributes her career success to her conversational skills and the great support of her family.
Outside of her primary medical roles, Dr. Dayries-Ling has found ways to involve her creativity within her work as the host of the “Whole Healing Radio Show” through the United Intentions Foundation. She is also the author of, “Solve Your Sleep for Better Health: Get to the Core of Your Snore.” In addition to her work, she is on boards for the Faculty Advisory Committee for the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, International Association of Oral Medicine and Toxicology and KnoWeWell.com. In the past, she was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and also worked with the Georgia Mission of Mercy. Looking ahead in her career, Dr. Dayries-Ling sees herself educating her colleagues on how they can improve their practices and write a book.
