Board-certified in general surgery, Dr. Fralinger is a noteworthy surgeon who has amassed nearly 25 years of experience in medicine. First obtaining a Bachelor of Science in zoology from the University of Nevada in 1990, he continued his studies at the university and earned a Bachelor of Arts in history in 1992. Subsequently, he obtained a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 1996. Beginning his medical training soon thereafter, he was a resident in surgery at the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle for three years before becoming a resident in surgery at the Waterbury Surgical Residency in Connecticut for five years.
Since 2006, Dr. Fralinger has been a surgeon at the Gallup Indian Medical Center in Gallup, New Mexico. Additionally, he has taken on the role of trauma director of GIMC’s Level 3 Trauma Center since 2010. Prior to these appointments, he was a physician at Indian Health Service in Neah Bay, Washington, and Northeast Washington Medical Group in Colville, Washington, both in 2001.
Civically involved as well, Dr. Fralinger has been a Stop the Bleed instructor since 2018. He maintains affiliation with the American College of Surgeons and the Association of American Indian Physicians. As a testament to his success, he has been featured in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, and Who’s Who in the World.
