Paul N. Anderson, Retired Oncologist and Hematologist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medicine.
Dr. Anderson was inspired to pursue medicine by his father, a well-respected doctor. After graduating from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts, he remained at the university to earn an MD. In the following years, he was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Medical Management, and the American Board of Medical Oncology. By 1965, Dr. Anderson had completed his internship and residency with Johns Hopkins Hospital. From there, he set out on his journey to professional success in the medical industry.
In 1970, Dr. Anderson became a fellow in oncology at Johns Hopkins Memorial Hospital. He remained in that position for two years before taking an interest in medical education. For the next four years, he excelled as an assistant professor of medicine in oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Alongside this role, he continued to actively practice medicine as an attending physician at the Baltimore City Hospitals. In 1976, Dr. Anderson relocated to the Penrose Cancer Hospital, acting as the director of the department of medical oncology. He additionally began teaching at the Colorado School of Medicine as a clinical assistant professor in the department of medicine. In 1990, he was promoted to the role of clinical associate professor. Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Anderson additionally demonstrated success within US Oncology, a private practice. In 2006, he retired. As a testament to his abundant success, he is featured in numerous editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in the West, and Who’s Who in the World, as well as the 5th edition of Who’s Who in Science and Engineering.
