Kenneth C. Lasseter, a retired Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Miami Medical School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Doctors for dedication, achievements, and leadership in pharmacology.
Supported by more than five decades of experience in the field, Dr. Lasseter has excelled as a pharmacologist and educator. Prior to the start of his illustrious career, he pursued a formal education at Stetson University and earned a Bachelor of Science in 1963. Subsequently, he received a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Florida in 1967. Additionally, Dr. Lasseter is a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Pharmacology.
After completing an internship and residency in medicine at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Dr. Lasseter joined the University of Miami Medical School in 1971 and worked as an assistant professor. He quickly progressed to an associate professor of pharmacology and medicine, before accepting the role of a clinical associate professor until his retirement from the institution in 2010. In addition to his primary endeavors, Dr. Lasseter has contributed as an adjunct associate professor of pharmacology at Barry University since 1986. In the past, he served in the United State Army Reserve, achieving the rank of a captain between 1971 and 1976.
A respected voice in the field of pharmacology, Dr. Lasseter has authored numerous articles that were published in several professional publications. He has also maintained affiliation with the American College of Clinical Pharmacology and the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. For his success in the industry, Dr. Lasseter has been the recipient of the William B. Peck Research Award from the Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association and a research award from Alpha Omega Alpha. Likewise, he has been featured in various editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America. A retiree, Dr. Lasseter enjoys fishing and boating during his spare time.
